This fun clip is all about the adventures of your first day of school! For the school year of 2022-2023, school may be physically with other friends or at home. Help discuss the excitement of this new season that your children will be stepping into. Maybe share your own first day of school photos and discuss what your favorite subjects were. As the most influential grown-ups in our little ones lives...we get the privilege to shape their love of learning. Have fun with this song exploring the joy of discovering new things.

Let’s Jam

In music class the little ones are exploring Rock and New Oreleans jazz, so you know Ellie and I had to hop on that bandwagon! Here’s a handful of our current favs :)

“Mixed Greens Summer Salad”

This past month I had the privliege of being able to visit my sister in California, and she made a “taco salad” for dinner one night that just really resinated with me! I decided to put a little spin on hers to make it more my own, even the little ones will dig into, enjoy!

~Pairs well with a California Cabernet or your favorite Ale~

What You’ll Need:

• Choice of lettuce greens (I used a mixed leafy greens)

• Veggies (tomato, corn, avocado, cucumber)

• Choice of protein ( I subbed my sissy’s ground turkey for chicken breast)

• Seasonings (pepper, garlic powder, taco seasoning)

• Olive Oil

• Lemon

The How To:

1. Cook protein, add seasonings - I chopped my chicken breast into smaller bits to accelerate the cooking process on the stovetop.

2. While protein is cooking, chop veggies. (halved my grape tomatoes, cubed my avocado, chopped cucumber, warmed my corn stovetop)

3. Rinse lettuce

4. Once protein is done cooking, set aside to slightly cool

5. Add veggies to lettuce

6. drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil and half a lemon on lettuce

7. add protein to lettuce & veggie blend & toss!

*Add Ins: Black beans, raw red onions, dried cranberries, etc. The fun thing about a salad is that you can make it your own and use your favorite ingredients!
